kmxexii High Fidelity is full of Tommy's lush arrangments and carefully layered chords. "Tommy's Theme" has echoes of "Lazerhawk's Theme" from Visitors, leaning more toward elegance. "Test Drive" and "High Fidelity" are outrun tracks with Tommy's deliberate pacing, while "The City" lays the artist's synths over a funky drum beat and ambient noise for a chill soundtrack. "Higher and Further" feels like a fleshed-out Outer Space Adventurer track with a powerful sound, including some great guitar work. Favorite track: Higher And Further (feat. Perturbator).

Tommy has been turning heads and melting hearts with his dense cosmic melodies and he makes his grand debut on Girlfriend Records with "High Fidelity EP."

The opening track entitled "Tommy's Theme" sets the longing for an escape into a distant world. Not a moment too soon, the high speed pursuit of "Test Drive" slams into gear.

The tides change when Tommy and collaborator Perturbator cast off into a lofty, accentuating dream on Higher and Further, thus setting up the heart pounding pulse of title track "High Fidelity." Weaving through a heatwave with the top down along the mysterious coastline is, "The City That Never Sleeps," a beautiful cliffhanger before having to wake to reality.

In my opinion this is the darkest atmosphere that Pertubator has ever created, and it makes the songs feel extra intense because of it. I love how the rhythm of the song is switched around so often, definitely a very unique EP and also amongst my favourite darksynth records. zWarhead
